The Sharifi-ha House, designed by Next office, is nothing short of magnificent and you’re about to see why... Built on a relatively narrow, but deep lot, the residence has the unique ability to turn a two-dimensional façade into a three-dimensional one, thereby giving it the ability to be open or closed.

The spacious, and I do mean spacious, abode spreads 1400 square meters (or approximately 15,069 square feet) over seven floors! The two basement floors offer fitness facilities and wellness areas, while the ground floor contains parking and the housekeeping rooms.



The first and second floors are dedicated to public activities and the third and fourth floors provide the family’s private spaces.




Built within the center of the design is a void that helps keep each floor open and bright. Suspended bridges connect the two fixed volumes that make up the structure.

The past couple of weeks since my Birthday it was like the concept of Grateful and Thankfulness was reborn within my soul.  These questions I am about to ask you all have been wondering in my mind... Have you ever thought as yourself as being BLESSED?  What does being Blessed mean too you, not some someone else just you? Are you grateful for your Blessings?
Sharon, Jarrod and myself was talking about a study that was done in the UK.  It was about people and gratefulness.  The study proved that people that are shown to be grateful, even when their circumstance are not so great, are far happier than people with no gratitude.  Interesting right?  I must be honest I am so grateful.  I have seen real poverty in the past year and realised although there are people far wealthier than mysel…

Thomas Gluck, principal of GLUCK+ built this wonderful modern Tower House on his family’s land in the Catskills of New York State. The land is owned by Gluck’s father, Peter, and it has served as a space for the family of architects to design and build follies since 1972. The most impressive characteristic of the Tower House is its cantilevered structure, which makes the residence perhaps the most modern single-family “treehouse”ever built.
